Chelsea Tours
The Chelsea Hotel is a destination spot for an unending stream of New York residents and tourists who are fascinated with its unique history and culture, from when President Chester A. Arthur dined at the hotel with artist Charles Melville Dewey to the present history made every day.
Because of the great interest in the history and the culture of the Chelsea, we are reinstituting the tours hosted by our very own Jerry Weinstein. Rumors of Mr. Weinstein's being at those dinner parties with President Arthur are strictly untrue, but there is no one more qualified on our staff to relay the fascinating history and present to our guests.
The next tour will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2010. The cost will be $40 per person, and the tour is limited to 25 people. If you are interested, please email tours@hotelchelsea.com or call 646-484-3901.
In The News
After 20 years in the Chelsea Hotel, Dan’s Chelsea Guitars is on the move!
Not to worry, Dan’s new location is less than 50 feet from its original spot. Dan Courtenay has already opened in the space once occupied by the famous Balbani Tailor Shop (notice the “Alterations for Men and Women” sign, still visible).
Visit the new Chelsea Guitars location at 224 W. 23rd Street (right next to El Quijote Restaurant).
