Production

The Chelsea Hotel is the host to many film and video productions due to the historical and architectural uniqueness of it's spaces as well as it's ambience of history and culture. The list of artists who have used the Chelsea as their backdrop is endless, including a recent photo shoot of Academy Award-Winning Actress Kate Winslet (depicted above).

Our individualized suites, scenic private rooftop, dramatic spiraling staircase and large public spaces are easily arranged to meet your project's needs. The hotel and its staff are production-friendly, and ready to assist with the delivery of equipment and wardrobe. Our guest rooms make excellent production rooms. The tall ceilings and above-average room size leaves plenty of room for hair and makeup or craft services.

Rates for photo shoots start at $1500 for half-day and $2500 for a full day. Film shoots start at $2500 for a half-day and $3500 for a full day. Rates are subject to crew size, areas of usage, and total number of rooms used.
